W Series Universal Worm Gear Reducer

The W Series is the universal-input workhorse of the WP single-stage worm gear reducer family. Its housing carries motor-mounting faces machined on six planes, so the input shaft accepts a belt, chain, or coupling from any of six standard directions (A, S, O, X, T, V) without ordering a different model. This single-SKU versatility makes the W the default choice for plants that want one spares-compatible reducer covering every layout variation. Thirteen frame sizes from WP40 to WP250, ratios of 5:1 to 60:1, and output torques up to 3,025 N·m provide the same broad performance coverage as the fixed-orientation DA and DS models, with the added flexibility of on-site input-angle adjustment.

Housing and Materials

The W housing is a one-piece grey cast-iron universal casting with motor-mounting faces and keyway slots machined on six planes. The output side is a standard solid dual-end shaft with foot pads machined on two perpendicular faces. Internally: 20CrMnTi hardened worm shaft, ZCuSn10Pb1 bronze wheel, tapered roller bearings, double-lipped NBR seals. Every internal part is interchangeable with the DA, DS, KA, and all other WP single-stage models of the same frame size.
